Vanilla Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
While the baking bug is still fluttering around in my kitchen, i thought of experimenting frosting for cupcakes. Im yet to discover the best vanilla frosting recipe with that fluffy texture. So i thought why not try out a creamcheese frosting instead. For that i used 3/4 cup Tatura cream cheese, 1/2 cup Golden Maid dairy spread because i like the lovely butter taste in it (only RM3.65 per slab) and 1/2 cup icing sugar all whisked up. I decided to to add a tbsp of hot water because the cream cheese was still cold and i was impatient. And, I got the fluffy texture! The cupcakes were a Golden Buttercake mix the man picked off the shelves in Mercato, Sri Hartamas. Expensive stuff, shame to waste it away so i ended up eating most coz some uniniated people just dont understand anything other than vanilla, chocolate or strawberry frosting!! Huff!
Love the tiny silver sprinkles, btw. Beats the hard old bigger ones and soooo pretty. Aww..
