Taxpayers' money going to be used to encourage polygamy????

When I read the statement made by the Malacca chief minister in 'Malacca may give RM1,000 to men who take them as second wives', I almost fell off my chair!!!

He wants to incentivize the men & encourage them to practice polygamy!!! I think the statement that he made is also an insult to all single mothers.

I also could not believe it that the Malacca government is also giving incentive to encourage youths to get married before they hit 30? In both schemes, I do not see much benefits but in fact it will be open to abuses as there are loopholes in both schemes.

I am sure to finance both schemes, the Malacca government is going to use taxpayers' money.

Why not give the money to the single mother to start a new life and be self sufficient? Why not give themoney to the single mother to sue the father of her children to pay maintenance... and make sure he does? It is like parents giving a stranger 1K to get rid of their child who is a burden to them! Can the government guarantee the man who accepts 1K to marry the single mother won't end up abusing her or even raping her children??? Ok.. we accepted the Shahrukh Khan story but this one is really a load of chicken s**t! Maybe Datuk SRK can teach them something about a Muslim sticking to only one wife though he can have all the women in the world!!

Really ridiculous, this kind of policy being considered and deliberated at the state level..

It should not be even considered at the very first place...

Damn funny, how can by marrying a single mum can rescue her from poor environment..

I think make her life worsening coz have to take care one more person and work harder for living...

God only creates one woman for one man. If too many men marry more than one wife, then many men will be left without a wife. What would these men who cannot find a wife do? Increase in rape cases? Or perhaps can legalise prostitution in Melaka.

make another incentives ,give rm5000 to those remain single(never married)....hahaha...then many single msian men and women will be very happy laa....nuts!!

Wow, interesting opportunity to get extra cash. Can i marry 2nd wife get RM1000 then divorce her? And then marry another 2nd wife, get another RM1000 and divorce her? No offense to the ladies. Just a sarcastic remark to such politically cheap publicity. Hehehe...
