Herb Gardening

Somewhere between my last episode of contemplation and creative surge, the gardening bug bit me. Off i dragged the whole family to the nurseries in Sg Buloh and picked up my first few pots herbs comprising of thai basil, mint, local oregano (karpuravalli), daun kadok, dill, daun pandan, curry leaves, 4 pots of roses, 4 pots of jasmine flowers and 3 pots of marigolds.

Now, a month down the road, im proud to say the herbs hv grown 3 times their original sizes and are brimming with health, except for that pesky green worm or two that tried to eat up my jasmine flower plants.

Getting up in the morning to see what new shoots and buds hv appeared is surprisingly a small thrill in itself that i actually found myself eagerly hopping out of bed early morning, something i hvnt done my whole lifetime... being not the morning person. I didnt know i would have in me dealing with plants and nature.. but apparently you never know till you try......
