Instant pasta (Tuna fusili)

Instant, lazy, convenient... watever but while i do understand the pride people take in making food fr scratch, traditions and all... it is not really unwise to look for an easier alternative when one is pressed for time aka.. cooking within t half hour ur baby takes a nap and you are holler free. My eldest will eat anything with tuna in it. Pizzas or pasta, bring it on.

From my kitchen supplies. Originally wanting spaghetti, but i ran out, i settled for a packet of fusilli. Olive oil, check. Instant pasta sauce, check. Tuna, check. Oregano or basil? My oregano supply was older so must finish. Parmesan cheese, i ran out so settle for sliced cheese. One has to be ready to compromise and improvise in life and cooking. (Btw, that tuna brand in the pic, do steer clear. This brand's products suck in my opinion and taste, but the man likes to try out new flavours and gv tgs a second chance, which can turn out either way sometimes so i go with it.)

Boil pasta al dente.

Once cooked, drain excess water and return to very low heat, empty the instant sauce, tuna and cheese onto the still steaming pasta and a quick stir.

The tuna as i feared was dismaying. The so claimed cili padi tuna actually tasted more like there was two cups of sugars in it. Hence i had to make quick amendments by adding a small can of Del Monte tomato puree to kill of the sickly sugariness of the pasta, cant say i succeeded much in the end because the sweetness remained in aftertaste of the pasta. So next time il stick to Ayam brand.

A sprinkling of oregano and if you happen to have fresh karpuravalli in your garden, be informed that is oregano species and it be more flavourful to use it. Finally quick dash of olive oil and you'll notice your skin will glow the next day! Beauty tip. copyrights reservedl
