
When there is only a stick of cucumber left in the fridge drawer and a packet of chicken nuggets in the freezer you dont want anything of, you have to settle for what you have. On such days, the loyal meehoon in the corner of your kitchen shelf will come in handy. Hence economy mee hoon. Onion, garlic finely chopped sauteed lightly, pour in water, a dash of tomato and chilly sauce, soya sauce, oyster sauce, chilly powder, an egg and in goes the pre soaked meehoon and fry till the liquid dries up and cover for 2 minutes under very low heat for the fluffed up texture.
Done. 20 mins.
