Anarkali

Emperor Akbar renamed her Anarkali akin to 'pormegranate blossom'. She performed the mujra dance on the return (from 15 years of military training) of his son, Saleem who fell in love with her and went to war against his father, Akbar himself who ..of course disapproved of her because... of course.. she was low caste.. what else. She supposedly sacrificed her life for Saleem and hence the tragic end to another ancient beauty.

On a another note.. this line of salwar kameez has the "Anarkali" cut.. the high bodice.. not unlike grecian style.
