The last time i was at a waterfalls was nearly 8 years ago at Gombak waterfalls in Kuala Lumpur with office mates.
So decided it was high time for another such outing. Packed nasi lemak (wat else!)for lunch and the girls into the car today and went off to Lata Bayu in Baling Kedah. Not even half an hour later we were there. And surprisingly it was well maintained and still the same since the last time i was there around 20 years ago. WOw!! 20 years ago??? Where hv i been!!
Oh well, anyway, since it was still early around 12ish afternoon, not much crowd. We hiked up right to the top lookin for a nice spot. And finally 'evacuated' a horny Malay couple from one of the provided sheds and settled in.(They can always find a cheap hotel room!)
Had lunch. And changed and took kiddo down for a dip. Except she had other ideas of sitting on the rocks and pretending to be a mermaid. Jus refused to get into the water and the water was rather chilly.
I thought.. mmmm. dint get her all this way without her testing the wonders of waterfalls and nature!
So waited for a while till she got comfortable on a rock and the water temperature. And then i dunked her! Errr... her screams can be heard miles away and the monkeys fled the trees! Lol! But the little fighter bounced back fast and drenched grandma and me! She was hooked :)
