Saree... an Indian phenomenon..

That 6 meters of silk fabric can be deliciously wrapped around the sensuous curves of a woman's body to form world's most feminine outfit is nothing but a work of a genius. It takes skill to tie it and it takes skill to wear it. When a woman wears a saree.. she but has to embrace that gracefulness only feminity is capable of. That swish swash elegant folds of a saree that follows her every step, the gentle cling of the fabric on her every contour, that modesty that is also alluring... saree had stayed true to itself across times.

So i was in Penang over the weekend taking around a friend fr US and I thought she'd like to look up Little India. The myriad of colors and smells was a sensation not to be forgotten. We ended up at this saree shop and drooled over the gorgeousness of fabrics and suddenly i jus wanted one.

Personally i always were a bit impatient for sarees. Over my 36 years of life, i guess i wore saree like 5 times. Lol! Im more of a wear your pants and hang out kinda person but jus yesterday, the saree bug bit me and the perfect saree was staring right in my face. And the price was so right my jaws dropped and i got the blouse sown in 1 hour for a song too. I dont know when i would wear it but im happy to see it hanging in my closest.

This was one color combination ive always admired and thought could work for any situation so i got something similar... except mine looks more elegant.

This one was originally priced at $68 haggled down to $38 and the sewing charges another $28.. but the saree looks like a couple hundred bucks! Yeah! Truly was a bargain!!!
