Whenever im in need of a bit of grandmotherly TLC, i head 10 blocks down the road. She sits me down, serves me a warm drink with nice titbits and listens intently to all my lamenting. And then she tells me, "It is all a part of life, m'dear!" she says. I know sometimes she agrees with me even when i'm completely wrong! Ah... old fashioned loyalty!
She is my late grandmother's younger sister, my grandaunt actually, well over 70 herself now. They are quite the opposite in temperament. While my late grandmother was feisty, independent and determined .. her sister is docile, more laidback and surrendered to fate... but like her sister, never suffers fools gladly! I have seen them both give as good as it gets! She deals life with a wry sense of humour masking a youthful lightheartedness. Her secret actually.. toward a worry-free living!
