Yeap.. 'tis the season again. The durians in the orchard in Tasek hv started dropping. The road in is still not car friendly.. but we managed the bumpy ride without a hassle. The workers hv started clearing so that the collection can be done once things get into full swing in a couple of weeks.
The first batch is said to get rid of the premature ones..as in 'buang busuk'. We had a few good ones though.. ate right under the tree...which is how it is meant to be...licking off our fingers.. swarmed by mosquitos.. and getting bitten by red ants everywhere! There were a few...er.. embarassing mishaps! Those darn things jus love getting into interesting places, dont they! But all was well.. thereafter.
I had forgotten what fun it was to go hunting for fallen fruit.. almost the thrill of a treasure hunt. Simple pleasures in life! Here is my attempt (in my ambitious sojourn to direct a video that would make a million bucks (will settle for hits)someday-dreamy eyes) to cover the event!
