Lord Subramaniam (Murugan) is the younger son of Lord Shiva, (Shiva btw, i think is a hunk of a God..in deerskin..the physique..those features deep in meditation.. and that dance...! I had a crush on Shiva throughout my teens.. ok.. think watever u all like lah! )
Anyway... the excitement was in the air for a week now. Local Indian community suddenly brimmed over with the return of almost all the youth seeking employment in Singapore and elsewhere. This was their time.. time to dress up and party on the streets..and freak out they did!
Last night was full moon of the new year.. and the chariot procession made its annual round. Drum beats.. trumpets.. bells on dancers ankles.. traditional performances leading the Lord.. the silver chariot was a sight to behold as always! Took my breath away.. my chakras felt suspended in motion.. an powerful sensation washed over me.... Unexplanable but never fails to happen.
