In the present world where Islam is vastly being associated with war and terrorism.. this basic Islamic verse gets a new lease of life in a Bollywood movie on love and self destruction.. based on the chaos in Kashmir, where a blind girl is forced to kill her lover who is a terrorist for greater good. Quite a nice movie.. Fanaa. (Especially when i get to see my fav actress..Kajol make a comeback after 5 year hiatus to dedicate to motherhood during the peek of her career.. admirable!.)
"SUBHANALLAH!"
Definition-'Glorified is Allah.' To honour Allah and make Him free from all (unsuitable evil things) that are ascribed to Him.
Or ... simply Glory to God.. in universal terms.
The background verse is given life by 'uniquely soulful, raw, high-pitched voice' of Sufi singer, Kailash Kher.. that (not) surprisingly reached out to many human heart.. regardless of race or religion. Its amazing how the human heart can recognise universal truth by itself. Ive personally heard Hindus, Buddhists and Christians humming and unconsciously mouthing the verses.

(wiki) Sufism claims to be the reality of religion[1] within Islam that encompasses a diverse range of beliefs and practices dedicated to Divine love and the cultivation of the elements of the Divine within the individual human being.
Now.. if only guns were replaced with divine love..for all...will that day ever come.. in my lifetime?
(As i am typing this, my 7 year old daugther is listening to this very tune playing and spinning around in circles.. quite like the Sufi dance itself. Mmm...)
