2006 Life lessons - Part 1
Omigosh, i hardly noticed it was nearing New Year! The no hype situation of a small town can sometimes freeze time.... grrrr! 2006 bites the dust!
Anyway, i dont think i want to read another article about new year resolutions or even write about it myself.
But what ive learnt this one year... mmm... some pretty revealing stuff about myself and others.
Lesson no. 1 -Dont adopt abandoned dogs from websites-they could turn out to be psychos who let the whole neighbourhood (and would be burglars) know that you are leaving house.
Lesson no. 2- Dont adopt a male pup thinking you female dog will mother him, no matter how innocent he looks.... Believe me, when nature beckons, they will dishonor you..traitors!
Ok, more seriously...
I re-learnt some basic lessons of human nature. Why i say re-learnt, cause a year ago, i understood the same situation say like, 50%, now i see another 20% making it 70%. For example, you ask?
Ok, lets take a person. Why the person keeps harping on another person? First you look at surface level. Ok, there are some serious issues. Conflict of interest and personality. Ok... thats what you think first. You may be pushed from side to side depending on the arguments presented. And arguments can be really convincing... you slip from one end to another end of an invisible see saw of sides.
Then suddenly one day, it hits you between your eyes .... the reason two people may not get along is ... coz basically they are both of the same personality. Opposite attract and like wise. So when two negatives get together they reject each other.
I read somewhere that the very thing we tend to criticize or reject in others is actually within us ourselves. So its a mirror effect. When we see it in others, we reject them but the actual problem is in us.
Ok, my noodles are baked... let me go and sit on the rack for a while and think this again....
